The pantomime season is upon us and I am re-writing 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' and need actors and crew. This production will be in four parts taking us up to Christmas. Auditions will take place this weekend for the parts of the following: Snow White, Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Sneezy, The Huntsman, The Prince, The Queen and the Witch. I know you will be 'beating on the door' to get these parts but don't worry, there are plenty of other jobs to be done i.e. cameras, lighting and hair and make up (I wonder who'll want this one!) When you apply for a role, I would like you tell me very briefly why you think you are right for this part.

As for Kathleen - bashful?!?!?!? Or Doreen "Snow White" - more like Captain Hook, I'd say

We are doing well here girls. Everyone who has auditioned has got a part but we are still in need of Doc, Grumpy, Sneezy, a witch and if we have a brave and extremely vain man out there, a handsome prince. Are there any more takers?

I did forget to mention something. I will narrate and play Sneezy but you have to write your own lines - easy.

Act 1 - Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs go Christmas Shopping.

Narrator: It was a beautiful thursday morning in December when Snow White awoke. After losing her way in the woods, the evening before, (I don't know what she was doing in the woods at that time. I blame the parents) she found a lovely little cottage and the door was open so she went in and fell asleep. When she woke she got out of bed and opened the curtains and said:

Snow White:

Narrator: Snow White realised there was still no-one in the cottage so she had a shower and brushed her beautiful long hair. While she sat dreaming about meeting a handsome prince one day she heard a noise. Someone was coming up the path. As she tried to hide the door opened and in came six dwarves. Bashful was the first to enter and said:

Bashful:

Narrator: Snow White stood in the corner feeling very nervous and the dwarves appeared in the doorway one by one. As Bashful was so shy, he just stood openmouthed to see Snow White in the bedroom. At this point Grumpy was heard shouting that someone had stolen the tea trolley and as he came through the bedroom door and saw Snow White he said:

Grumpy:

There most certainly is. Who's Ditsy?
